GOLDEN TREE

I am a story teller.
Isn't it amazing how the paths of our live twist and turn and lead you in a direction you would never have thought of, but somehow makes the strangest sense? I have been lucky enough to study art and film at many of the best colleges in our country, including Rhode Island School of Design, Savanah College of Art and Design, and I finally received my BFA in Film and Art Direction from UNC School of the Arts.  All that school burned me out on film, and I started a Graphic Design company instead. 

Now years later and new skills acquired I am finding myself
falling back in love with film. 
The ability to tell stories in a single image; the instant gratification of a special occasion captured permanently, or, especially, revealing the glory of a mundane moment.   My favorite part of the process now is in the digital editing when I pull out the beauty and detail. The computer design work I do has helped me learn to finesse the image to tell it's story. When I take your picture I want to tell the world who you are - how beautiful and deep and complex. Show you the things you might not be able to see in yourself. 
When I capture your family or event we will take the posed photos, but also I will look out for those incredible details. The things that make your family who they are.   The things that tell your story.
